Ever stepped into a space that just felt so beautiful and serene that you could actually feel yourself relaxing just by being there? Luscher Farm in Lake Oswego is my new favorite place because it has exactly that effect. It’s surrounded by the rolling hills of the Lake Oswego area, and is an incredible natural area with some beautiful gardens. Friends of Luscher Farm joins the City of Lake Oswego in supporting this incredible space: the beautiful Rogerson Clematis Garden, a community garden, and plenty of open space. If you’re considering Luscher Farm Lake Oswego family photos, read on for everything you need to know about planning your session there.
Planning Your Luscher Farm Lake Oswego Family Photos
The Best Time of Year for Family Photos at Luscher Farm
As a community garden and clematis garden, this location truly shines spring through summer. There is something in bloom throughout these months, and you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery.
Are Dogs Allowed at Your Luscher Farm Photoshoot?
Since much of the park is a community garden where people are growing their own food for their kitchens, dogs are not permitted in the garden.
Do You Need a Permit for Photography at Luscher Farm?
Yes, any commercial photography, like family photo sessions, need a photography permit from the City of Lake Oswego. I maintain this permit with no extra charge for my clients because it’s truly a beautiful place for family photos. If you’re not working with me for your family photos (Oh no! Why not?), then make sure your photographer secures the yearly permit before your session to avoid fines.
The Best Time of Day for Luscher Farm Lake Oswego Family Photos
The light at Luscher Farm is truly magic because it’s lovely both in the early morning and late evening. I love it in summer months when flowers are in bloom and we can grab a crisp early morning session there.
