Portland portrait photographers, we know that early fall is GOLDEN! The weather’s cooled down, but it hasn’t started to rain yet. Late September and early October truly are the magic times to get your portraits done in Portland in the fall. For this family, we were able to use their incredible hazelnut orchard at sunset for their family portraits. I loved the warm neutral tones they chose for their clothes and how cozy their little family was, tucked into their orchard.

One other thing all Portland portrait photographers know? Two year olds are going to take some warming up! My most successful tools for that are peekaboo and my knowledge, after two kids of my own, of virtually every song from favorite kids shows. I may have had to break out singing DURING peekaboo, but it was worth it! With apologies to the parents that have to listen to me sing off key…it works! Look at this smile!

This hazelnut orchard was such a dream! I love when clients have access to incredible properties like these that aren’t just beautiful, but also meaningful to them. This little one is going to have so many memories of growing up around the orchard. It’s so special to be able to have professional portraits of these memories.
