Hi, I'm Samantha! I'm a Portland family photographer. I create timeless family photos for old souls and sentimental hearts. With an eye for connection, sweet details, and soft light, I've been serving the Portland area since 2011.
From the minute I met these two, I knew their Camp Turnaround wedding was going to be an emotional, joyful day and it totally WAS! You might remember their Jenkins Estate engagement session last fall, where they were basically just super adorable and cuddly and in love, making my job super easy. A few weeks ago, their wedding day was finally HERE! They had a beautiful indoor ceremony and reception at Camp Turnaround in Gales Creek, and in the breaks from the rain, we wandered around the grounds for photos because all the springtime blooms were happening!
Lacey gave each of her parents a special gift before the ceremony–her mom received hers first and that’s about the moment that alllll of the happy tears started for everyone!
I loved all the little surprises Lacey had planned throughout the day, and her total focus on enjoying the day with her family! After she was in her dress, the first thing she wanted to do was have a “first look” with her father. Such a great idea to have this special moment for the two of them!
This ruffled cake from Next Dimension Bakery was already so adorable, and then they went and added a dinosaur bride+groom topper! A dino couple!!! Could they be any cuter, really??
And then?? THEN they did a super colorful PAPER AIRPLANE EXIT!!! AHHH! How creative is that?? It was such a beautiful sendoff, and the perfect end to their Camp Turnaround wedding!!
