Nestled above the hills north of Corvallis and west of Albany is this beautiful little park. It has California vibes so strong it makes me homesick for my Sacramento days. Tall fields, rolling hills dotted with oak trees, and the coastal range off in the distance: if you’re an Albany, Oregon photographer this is the perfect place to live out your cottagecore inspired photo dreams! Ashley and I planned this end of summer family photoshoot to celebrate all things neutral and cottage-y. We combined a little gingham, some cozy knits, a straw hat, and all the warm neutrals and we were SET!
Isn’t he the sweetest? I adored the knit overalls from Target: if you’re on the lookout for something perfect for your little to wear for family photos, they’ve had the best rompers lately in knits and gauzes.
This session was after a weekend of wildfire smoke in the Willamette Valley. Luckily, it was the tail end of the smokey haze, at least on the west side of the valley, and the air quality was safe enough for an outdoor family session. By the end of the session though, a few raindrops turned into a sudden rainstorm!
I loved adventuring here. I went to Oregon State and worked in Albany, so it’s always so fun to come back here to explore. How long ago was that? Two hints: I’m always surprised that the Blockbuster isn’t there (it was the PLACE to be!), and the CD store I worked at in Albany is definitely no longer there. How does time pass so fast?
