Jenna and Armando are the kind of couple who are MEANT to be: the kind who finish each other’s sentences and whose first concern is always, always each other. It’s been such an honor getting to know them over the last year! We first met at Lauren and Corey’s forest wedding, and when we discovered we both lived in Newberg, it made our wedding planning meetings SO EASY! I was especially excited for their wedding because it included a reception at the amazing Evergreen Chapel at Falls Event Center (the Evergreen Air and Space Museum) in McMinnville. I’ve been out there with my family, and DREAMED of the day I could photograph a couple in the glowing vineyards that surround it. It HAPPENED! Jenna and Armando—everyone’s dreams came TRUE this weekend!!
So you might remember from their engagement session at Champoeg State Park that their GIANT dog Broly is a BIG (see what I did there?) part of their lives! He couldn’t attend the wedding, but we stopped by their home in Newberg on the way out to the reception to say hello! Doesn’t he look so proud of his people?
…and then we snuck out of the reception for five quick minutes for some sunset photos. I can’t even express how much I love when couples do this! It’s almost always one of my favorite photo moments of the day, because the light is glowy, the nerves from the ceremony are gone, and the party has begun! Usually, like this day, I kept an eye on the light and the timeline, and once there was a break in the events and the light was PERFECT (seriously, LOOK AT IT!), then we sneak out a side door and the couple takes a few minutes being fabulous and MARRIED!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Cruz!! You had a BEAUTIFUL wedding day and it was an honor to share it with you and your family!
