Bunco is a dice game played at rotating tables of four, and easy to play while snacking and chatting with friends. I was introduced to Bunco when I was in the Junior League of Sacramento. (The Junior League is an awesome organization of women who dedicate themselves to community service and empowering women in their community…but that’s another blog post.) One of our fun activities in the Junior League was a monthly Bunco night! We rotated hostesses, and each month had a different theme. The hostesses supply a dinner, snacks, and drinks. It’s a fun chance to get out, relax, and chat. We do a $5 buy in, and at the end of the night there are four winners. It’s totally a game of chance, which makes my strategy-game-loving husband crazy, but for me that makes it fun and easy to relax!
Last weekend’s theme was Kentucky Derby Bunco, since May is when the Derby happens and it seemed like a great excuse to wear a fancy dress and a fabulous hat! I used printables I found at The Hostess With The Mostess blog (BIG LOVE #4,345), and made a tissue paper tassel garland (BIG LOVE #4,356).
Any other BUNCO fans out there??
