It really is the BEST part of my job when wedding clients come back to me a few years after the wedding for family photos! By the end of a wedding day, I always feel such a connection to my clients–they’ve become friends as we’ve walked through the wedding planning process together. So when I get that email that they need family photos because their family has grown, it’s so exciting! I photographed Emily and Ryan’s Green Villa Barn wedding in Independence, Oregon a few years ago. I remember their beautiful reception filled with string lights, lace, and burlap, and ESPECIALLY their super fun bridal party photos underneath the fall leaves. See their whole blog post from their wedding day here!
A lot of changes have happened for them since their wedding day. They moved to Newberg (like me! hooray!). But the biggest change? This new little one! She was born just a few weeks ago, and over the weekend we met up to photograph them as a family of THREE! I’m in love with the soft pastel colors Emily coordinated for her family, because they just match so well with the soft yellow of the sunny summer field at sunset. Clients get my Wardrobe Guide, an 8 page booklet that guides them through choosing the most flattering clothing for their session. Emily and Ryan totally nailed it! Basically all of my photographer dreams are in pastel colors, so when you’re dressed in soft colors like this, I’m EXTRA excited because I know it will give us that light and airy look we’re going for!
Their session was just the best and I loved everything about it. But most of all…I loved that new little baby girl! What a sweetie! Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from this family session!
