Hi, I’m Grace Thomas, founder and lead stylist of Builtgracefully, a wardrobe styling company in Portland. As a stylist and wardrobe consultant, I spend my days looking for the best pieces out there. Price, quality, and style are details I obsess over for clients, taking the hard work out of shopping. While on the higher end of the price range, Reformation dresses stand out with their quality and beautiful prints. This brand has quite a following and their new seasonal styles and prints tend to sell out quickly. With fans like J.Lo, Selena Gomez and Meghan Markle, you’ll be in good company with this pick. Reformation also focuses on sustainability, so not only will you look good, but you’ll be doing good as well. Their dresses range from between $170-$400, so you’ll be making an investment with this purchase, but don’t fret, I guarantee this dress will be one of your new favorites in your closet.

Known for affordable bridal and bridesmaids’ dresses, Lulus has nailed the special occasion dress. What I love about this brand is that it definitely doesn’t break the bank, with so many of their dresses under $100. You’ll easily find the most trend forward styles from this brand, as they keep the finger on the pulse of fashion. They offer styles from formal to casual or two-piece sets, leaving the options endless if you shop this brand.
Vici Collection
Originally founded in 2012 in Walnut Creek by a stepmom and daughter duo, this brand has since exploded. You can now find this brand online as well as in some of your favorite stores like Nordstrom. This brand generally leans more casual, with their selection of dresses reading more daytime rather than formal. Purchase one of these dresses for your upcoming shoot and wear it again for the next brunch date you’ve got planned.
