While you’ll often find me over on Instagram, sharing recent work and connecting with my favorite local businesses, I’ve been spending more and more time reading local mom blogs! I don’t know about you, but I find it so much more informative to read a whole blog post with all the links right there in the post than to get the information in an IG reel. There’s more time for authors to share their thoughts and all the details of their projects in a blog post. So, when I’m in search of home DIY project inspiration, recipes, and local adventures, I turn to my favorite PNW mom bloggers! Today I’m sharing my very favorite mom blogs: Oregon and Washington bloggers who share the best of PNW life in parenting, travel, fashion, lifestyle, and home.
PNW Mom Fashion Bloggers
Seasons and Salt
I adore Andrea’s minimalist, real-life style on Seasons + Salt. She’s a Portland mom and shares timeless outfits that are perfect for day to day living with kids, which I feel like can be so hard to find in the fashion blogger space. Her neutral, soft color palettes and classic cuts are the perfect inspo as you’re planning what to wear for family photos or just in your daily life! I’m keeping an eye on her fall recommendations, especially this post on her 2022 Fall Shopping List.
I am Style-ish
Tiffany hosts this great Seattle mom blog focused on fashion with a dose of motherhood and and home style. She has great advice on dressing stylishly no matter what your day holds. When you’re a PNW mom, kids and rain can make it challenging, but she’s got your back! Her recent post on wearing booties with skinny jeans was one of my favorites. I love that she has great recommendations for petite fashion too–if you’ve seen me hauling my stepstool to family photo sessions, you know that’s a concern for me!
Family Travel Bloggers in the PNW
Suitcases in Seattle
This Seattle mom blog is all the inspiration my wanderlust needs! From tips on traveling with toddlers to the best family-friendly destinations the Pacific Northwest has to offer, Natasha at Suitcases in Seattle has your travel inspo for 2022. She’s recently more active on Instagram for scroll-stopping destinations!
Home Decor & Lifestyle Mom Bloggers
Mom Life in the PNW
Jenny’s a Vancouver mom blogger dedicated to promoting natural health and beauty. Her posts are always insightful, well-researched, and fun to read. She has a ton of helpful information on how to transition your family into using more natural products. I also really love her travel posts for future adventure ideas. A family vacation at a Mt. Hood tiny house village? Yes, please!
Posie Gets Cozy
I’ve followed Posie Gets Cozy for years and I’m invested! When I was living in California, reading her blog and seeing photos of her travels gave me a little dose of Portland that I needed when I was homesick. She shares the sweetest craft projects, and I love her cottage style home. She shares a bit about her motherhood journey, and I love seeing the magical way they approach life in Portland. Her embroidery and sewing kits are the perfect little piece of Portland charm. You can pick up her books at Powell’s or Amazon.

The House of Hood Blog
DIY and design I love Chelsee’s home style over at The House of Hood Blog! Their modern farmhouse new build in Portland is adorable! She shares some truly great home DIYs that are unique and totally do-able. I’m looking at you, board and batten accent wall! She also has a ton of great ideas for entertaining. I’m definitely going to be using some of her Halloween front porch decor ideas that she shared here.
Create-Enjoy
I’ve been following Suzannah on Instagram for a while, keeping up with her fun home decor reels. Her blog is just as beautiful! She is a Portland blogger who is working on their fixer-upper 1937 Portland home with a big dose of DIY spirit. If you followed along about my cozy minimalist living room revamp, you know I’m a fan of Myquillin Smith of the Nester–and Suzannah has featured her on the blog a few times! She’s also a co-creator of the Your Home Story podcast for home decor inspiration on the go.
PNW Mom Bloggers Writing About Parenting
Portland Mom Collective
This one is my favorite all around Portland moms blog. It’s packed full of local resources, events, and advice. If you’re new to town and want to connect with the best local events, keep an eye on their monthly event calendar posts. Those are always my favorite for finding kid-friendly activities in Portland!
PNW Food Bloggers
Leigh Anne Wilkes at Your Homebased Mom
So cooking is NOT my wheelhouse. I’ve burned grilled cheese sandwiches, canned refried beans…I mean, I’m talented at burning things! So I rely on food bloggers to share all the ins and outs of any new recipe with me. I need pictures. Details. Exact timing and links to the exact brands I should use. Leigh Anne Wilkes at Your Homebased Mom makes it super easy for people like me with her beautifully photographed and clearly explained recipes. A mom of four grown children, she knows how challenging it can be to get a healthy dinner on the table. I love that her recipes feature clean ingredients and dishes that don’t take too long, like this Chicken Yakisoba.
Urban Bliss Life
I love the inventive, flavorful recipes over at Urban Bliss Life! They’re all family-friendly, and she has a collection of dairy and gluten-free recipes too. Marlynn lives near Oregon wine country, and holds a WSET 2 with Distinction wine award certification. This means she’s a wealth of information on wine recommendations! Some of her recipes also have wine pairing suggestions, which makes an at-home date night a breeze. I love her Instant Pot Moroccan Chicken recipe–head over and try it out, or flip through one of her two cookbooks below:
