Salem Oregon Photography: A Riverside Family Session

July 11, 2024

Filed in: Families

One of my favorite things about Salem, Oregon photography for families is that we have such a range of incredible natural areas we can use. There are gardens, flower farms, and so many natural areas. The river winds right through here, and for this hot summer session we decided to use it! They brought their dogs, who were so well-behaved and added some extra fun to this relaxing riverside session. I wrote a post about how to successfully include dogs in your family photos here. Enjoy these relaxed riverside family photos!

Salem, Oregon Photography on the River: Things to Know

  1. This is a rocky beach, so consider going barefoot or stick to flat-bottomed shoes like wedges, espadrilles, or sandals.
  2. Want to relax and have your makeup done before your session? One of my favorite makeup artists, Allelu Beauty, is located in the heart of downtown.
  3. After your session, head to downtown Salem for dinner or dessert.
