January Top Blog Posts
January was a great month, with a lot of behind the scenes updating and education. You all were busy checking out the blog, with these five posts getting the most attention:
While my What to Wear for Fall Family Photos got a ton of traction at the end of last year, it’s time now to start figuring out spring outfits so it makes sense that this was the top performer in January! I updated it recently with a few new style boards, and there are a few new dress favorites linked there too.
Outdoor Photoshoot Locations Near Portland
Deciding on where to take pictures in Portland can feel overwhelming, since it’s so beautiful everywhere! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites in this post. From Willamette Valley farms to breathtaking Gorge vistas (and some classic Portland metro area locations in between), there are some easy wins in this post for your next Portland photos.
I’ve been enjoying rounding up some favorite family-friendly local businesses in Portland lately. Finding hair salons that could cut my kids hair AND make it fun was such a challenge when my kids were toddlers, so a post of hair salons that are made with kids in mind was first on my list. Use this list to get your kiddos into photo-ready shape before your next family photo session.
After your photo session? You’re going to need a special treat. Many of my clients choose to grab some ice cream or a fun dinner out after their session, but a trip to the toy store is another great option. We have some truly unique locally-owned toy stores in Portland: head over to the post and choose your next adventure.
Where to Shop for Dresses for Pictures
While all of my clients get a What to Wear Guide to help plan their family’s wardrobe, I pulled an excerpt from it for this post. I’ve found some gems of shops that specialize in photo-ready dresses. Neutral colors, subdued patterns, and dresses that swish and swirl–these are the shops where you really can’t go wrong!
